This is a super suspense thriller that hooks the audience from the moment Caroline leaves and builds up the tension as readers anticipate Porter confronting her. The romantic subplot between Caroline and Ken feels forced and unnecessary as little Caroline can stand on her own. Fans will appreciate the aptly title A DARK LOVE; knowing the obsessed Peter is coming for his beloved.

First of all, his name is Porter, not peter. Get it right, please.
Secondly, in no way did was the romance between Ken and Alice forced, it was a naturally progressing part of the story line, and rounded out the plot. Would you have rathered read about Alice if she was just sitting in Colorado pulling weeds and grocery shopping? I wouldn't.
I loved this book, and recommend it to anyone who is ready to read a great story from a wonderful new author.
By the way - her second book, RIPTIDE, will be coming out in October, and it is just as great as A DARK LOVE :)
