Natalie Teeger joined her employer Mr. Monk on Patrol as uniform cops in Summit, New Jersey. They return to San Francisco to take care of personal business with plans to return to Summit. However, Natalie finds the corpse of Michelle Keeling in her bathtub and money stolen from an FBI sting.

While Mr. Monk debates California vs. New Jersey, the feds looks at Natalie as the prime suspect in the homicide and abetting in the-marked money. At the same Monk’s agoraphobic brother Ambrose pleads with him to find his beloved missing Yuko who the neurotic detective is elated to see gone from his sibling. However, Mr. Monk Is A Mess as he biologically remains in Jersey but needs to be operating in California.

Lee Goldberg provides another great Mr. Monk tale as the mentally messed up sleuth struggles to get his San Francisco groove back while still on East Coast time; as his assistant and his brother need him at the top of his game. The storyline is fast-paced from the moment the pair returns home and never slows down as the temporarily Jersey boy, Monk may be a mess but he still is the best.
